Professional Growth Plan
I enjoy motivating people to get involved in their schools and communities. I empower my colleagues to utilize their talents and skills. In addition, I believe it is important to respect everyone's emotions and values. As a results, I believe I am best suited to a transformational leadership style. According to Northouse (2012). "Transformational leadership gives more attention to the charismatic and affective elements of leadership": (p. 185).
Objectives
As an Educational Technology Leader, I would assist instructional staff to effectively and productively incorporate technology into their curriculum. I would create professional development courses to train teachers and support staff members to become highly proficient users of the latest technologies to enhance instruction.
There is a need in our urban communities to close the Digital Divide. It is the responsibility for the school district to provide the students with the tools to improve the quality of education in order to prepare them to compete within global society. I would like to pursue a professional career as a consultant to provide assistance to the school districts and community in the field of technology in order to bring them up to speed for the twenty-first century.
I believe it is important to stay abreast of the latest educational trends and receive a quality education in the Educational Technology field. In order to achieve this goal, I applied and am deeply honored to announce I was accepted into the Ed.D Educational Technology program at New Jersey City University. I am eager to learn and share my experiences with my colleagues. I know New Jersey City University institution will enhance my leadership skills and abilities.
Short Term Goals
Conduct workshops for parents to give them specifics how they can improve their child's academics in school
Attend and participate in local and international conferences
I will research teaching strategies to engage technology to include the different learning styles for every student
Continue to enroll in educational technology courses to ensure knowledge and skills up to date with the latest educational trends.
Conduct workshops to educate attendees how to write grants and proposals
Long Term Goals
Complete ED.D Technology in Education Leadership in 2016
Create a web-based student/parent hotline access from any device as a communication tool for parents and teachers. Great resource for homework help.
To create community technology centers for parents, students, senior citizens and the community.
To apply for technology grants for children with special needs, general education students, and parents to ensure that the community has access to computer equipment, the Internet, and training from home.
To become a Technology Consultant assisting community organizations and school districts in planning, supervising, and implementing the utilization of technology.
Network with world leaders to develop universal design for learning for all grade levels and subject levels on an international level
Collaborate corporate and educational sectors to increase STEM education
Instructional Technology Consultant to train educators globally how to enhance instruction using technology to increase parent involvement
Create a Hudley’s Hub, a user friendly web based resource tool were parents can easily access to learn how to comprehend the latest math and reading skills. The purpose of the Hudley’s Hub to assist parents to overcome their fears of using technology. Hudley’s Hub with empower parents to become engaged in their child’s academics.

Create foreign language courses from other countries to teach students and business personnel foreign languages
